Rain Pipe (Sprinkler Hose) has many advantages, such as low cost, convenient laying and use, and simple maintenance. Compared with the transmission flood irrigation method, the rain pipe irrigation can bring a very significant effect of increasing production, and can also effectively avoid the problems of soil compaction, field runoff, soil erosion, and fertilizer efficiency reduction that may be caused by flood irrigation. Because of the above advantages, they are widely used in the cultivation of crops such as wheat, corn, and leafy vegetables. Correct use of the rain pipe can prolong the service life and improve the uniformity of irrigation.

Preparations before laying the sprinkler hose:

  1. Use pesticides to get rid of the pests in the soil to prevent them from harming crops and biting rain tapes;
  2. Level the land so that there are no stones and hard clods on the soil surface to prevent damage to the pipe.

Precautions when laying and using the sprinkler hose:

  1. Lay the pipe with the holes facing up. After the tail is blocked, pressurize it with pressure equipment such as a water pump.
  2. If the water quality is poor, wrap it with gauze at the suction port of the pump as a preliminary filtering device to remove larger impurity particles. And install more than 50 mesh filter equipment at the water outlet of the pump to prevent the rain pipe holes from being blocked.
  3. When using the rain pipe system for the first time, try to open as many switches as possible to prevent the bursting of the micro-spray belt due to excessive instantaneous pressure. After the system pressure has stabilized, several switches can be turned off if the pressure is low.
  4. Pay attention to the system pressure, the normal working pressure is usually between 0.2~0.8 Bar. When the pressure is higher than 1 bar, the risk of bursting is huge.

Notes after finishing irrigation:

After the crop irrigation period is over, rinse the rain pipe, dry it and place it in a cool place. Pay attention to storage, to prevent mice or other animals from biting.

Meanwhile, because the rain pipe is an economic choice, some clients choose very thin wall thickness. In this case, they can be treated as a single-use product that lasts as long as one irrigation cycle. It is suggested to use new sprinkler hose for next season. Or at least some replaced hoses should be prepared as standby parts in case there are broken sections.

Plentirain Rain Pipe Application

Brief Introduction of Rain Pipe

Rain Pipe is also named as sprinkler hose, rain tape, rain hose, micro irrigation spray tube, perforated tube etc. It is a flat PE hose with laser punched holes to spray water mistily. Rain Pipe irrigation system is a low cost and high efficient farm quick irrigation solution. It is easy to install, maintain, reallocate and works with low water pressure to save labor and energy. Comparing with traditional flooding irrigation, It can save more than 50% water, and increase the harvest 60%~80%.

Advantage of Rain Pipe

  1. Economic transportation: Rain Pipe is flat and coiling package, easy to carry and economic for transportation and storage.
  2. Friendly to plants and soil: Due to the laser punched holes, the spraying water from Rain Pipe is very soft and homogeneous. It will not hurt the crops and prevent the soil from getting lost and stiff.
  3. Low working pressure: Rain pipe can works stable at 0.2 bar -0.8 bar.
  4. Low operation cost and high efficiency: Low material cost, low labor investment, low energy consumption, easy to assemble, easy to reallocate, easy clogging cleaning, quick watering.
  5. No filter required: In most case, it is not necessary to install a filter for rain pipe irrigation system, unless there are many impurities in the water.
